I would say that this cutting technique does apply if you plan on cutting sweaters, hoodies, and jackets, too, but make sure that your cuts are smooth and straight since the thickness of the fabric may make cutting a bit difficult. The shirt looks good. It is a bit uneven. You can always measure with a ruler rather than your fingers and draw a pencil line where you will cut off the sleeve. Also, keep the fabric on the table, don't lift up while cutting because you can get an uneven cut if you lift up. These few extra steps will add only 30 seconds to this project and ensure it turns out every time.
